SEA is widely considered to be perhaps THE best energy engineering firm in the United States, and possibly the world. We continually serve the largest, most robust corporate energy programs on Earth, the U.S. Department of Defense. Our military uses more energy to power its facilities than most countries, about $2.5 billion annually. With over 500,000 buildings, they consume over 2% of the electricity in the continental U.S., thus being the largest single electricity consumer in our country. With this magnitude of purchasing influence, they can select virtually anyone to serve their needs. Repeatedly, year-after-year, they select SEA as one of their top advisors to help them lessen our country’s dependence on foreign oil by operating more efficiently.

Our Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) program is recognized nationwide as a leader in energy conservation expertise. We are the provider of choice for the Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) program in the federal sector and have been providing REM’s to federal agencies since 2001.  We currently provide these services to multiple locations for the Department of Defense including Army and Air Force, the Air National Guard, General Services Administration and the US Coast Guard.  We investigate conservation opportunities at more than 500 million square feet of facilities, as well as work with more than a hundred different utility providers for rate schedule reviews and rebate opportunities.  REMs are a part of the base energy team with a focus on energy and water conservation through improved practices, equipment modification and improved cultural awareness.
