Energy Awareness and Conservation Assessment Programs (EACA)

Energy conservation plays a very important role because utilization of non-renewable resources also impacts our environment. Specifically, usage of fossil fuels supplies to air and water pollution such as carbon dioxide when produced by oil, coal and gas combustion in power stations, heating systems and engines of cars.

Energy conservation reduces the need for energy services and can result in increased environmental quality, national security, personal financial security and higher savings. It is at the top of the sustainable energy hierarchy, and also lowers costs by preventing future resource depletion.

SEA will help you learn how you can reduce the consumption of energy by using less energy services. This can be achieved either by using energy more efficiently or by reducing the amount of service used. By identifying areas of waste and loss, we can suggest low and no cost solutions to improve efficiencies through technological upgrades and improved operations and maintenance.
