Geothermal energy is defined as energy from the earth’s heat. One type of geothermal energy is the use of reservoirs of hot water (at varying temperatures and depths) to produce steam and electricity. Another type is a geothermal heat pump, also known as a ground source heat pump. Geothermal hedsat pumps utilize the fact that the earth’s temperature (below the surface) remains relatively constant. Because of this fact the earth serves as a heat source and a heat sink in the winter and summer months, respectively.
Geothermal systems work in virtually any scenario. SEA can provide the analysis to determine if geothermal heating is the best solution for you.
