Birmingham, AL – Sain Engineering Associates, Inc. (SEA), provider of energy management and consulting services, announced the promotion of Brenda Phillips to President and Chief Operating Officer. She will have the primary responsibility of managing day to day operations and initiatives to support the company’s operating principles of “Serve Our Clients, Fulfill Our People and Manage Our Business.”
“Brenda has been a key part in the success of growing SEA’s brand and business, and we are thrilled to have her continue leading in this new role,” said Steve Sain, CEO of SEA.
Mrs. Phillips, joined the company in 2012 as part of the Federal Energy Management group where she coordinated the project administration of SEA’s major energy efficiency work. She quickly rose to Vice President of the Global Sustainability Group with a focus on diversification of SEA services into the non-federal markets. Mrs. Phillips previously served as owner and principal in charge of her own program management company, B. Phillips, Inc. which specialized in owner program management for the design/construction industry.
As a licensed architect and LEED® AP professional, Mrs. Phillips is a graduate of Texas Tech University where she received a Bachelor of Architecture Design. She is an energy subject matter expert with total cost of ownership articles published and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. She also participates in the American Institute of Architects and is a volunteer locally for Habitat for Humanity as well as Junior Achievement.
